TP/160
Tp/160 reverses the standard hierarchy of materials; fabricated of toilet paper, plastic shrink wrap, pine and casters. The form of the chair is derived from the orientation of tp in shrink wrap on the store shelf. The chair is presented on a palette that refers to the way the material is delivered to the store.
The next iteration used custom plastic slipcovers. Referencing nostalgia for the plastic slipcover on Grandma’s sofa.
Hi Boy/Hey Girl
Although, I had an appreciation for the traditional “highboy”, I had no desire for my work to speak of this historical period.
